Yellow brick sand
Description: Also known as fatty sand. It is a golden yellow to orange colour and is used when a darker coloured mortar is desired*.
Usage: : The main use for this sand is for mortaring brickwork. The standard blend for mortar is 6 parts sand to 1 part cement and 1 part hydrated lime. 1 cubic metre of sand will be enough to lay 1,000 bricks and will require 8-10 bags of cement. Brick sand is also the sand used under pool liners for above ground pools.
