About Beyond the Valley
The Beyond the Valley festival has been running in Victoria since 2014, finding it's current home at Barunah Plains in 2022, and has grown to become one of the largest music festivals in Victoria. Running over 4 days from the 28th of December to 1st of January, the Dance Dome at Beyond the Valley is home to some of the biggest electronic music acts from across the globe.

Project Overview
Every year following the festival, Beyond the Valley returns the land back to it’s natural state. This return to natural state necessitates that every year an effort to construct the festival from scratch is undertaken. At the Dance Dome a portion of this rebuild is ensuring that the ground is suitable for the 40,000 festival goers to dance on, which is done by laying sand to create a base.
To achieve this the site required a substantial volume of Sand from our Colac Quarry (approximately 300 tonnes), equivalent to around 8 truck and trailor loads.

There were several challenges the team faced when planning and undertaking this project, including:
- Tight Timeline Faced with a Christmas shutdown, a multitude of projects dispatching from Colac, and a customer requirement to build the site in a few days there was a extremely tight timeline that had to be adhered to.
- Site Limitations Despite being situated in the rolling hills of Barunah Plains, Daisy’s tip zone was within the already constructed Dance Dome. Faced with height and width restrictions our team of expert drivers had to take the highest duty of care.
Ensuring the right product was selected, with timely and efficient delivery within the specified timeframe was a critical challenge.

- Tight Timeline Our team of drivers completed two deliveries each to site, ensuring that the materials were delivered smoothly, on time and ready for the festival team to get the base of the site prepared.
- Site Limitations Upon arriving at site our drivers all did a walk around to check that the area was safe to tip, wouldn’t hit anything, and wouldn’t get stuck in the dance dome. Safety is always at the heart of everything we do at Daisy’s, and this job was no different. Our drivers ensured that the materials were delivered safely and where the festival needed them.

Ballarat Athletics Field
Development Victoria's new Ballarat Major Events precinct includes a world class athletics facility which is being constructed by BildGroup's TurfOne. Daisy's was contracted to supply over 3,000 tonnes of engineered Turf Sand for the field in this project.
