When used correctly, organic compost can rejuvenate undernourished or poor soils by providing vital nutrients essential for plant growth. The compost alters the soil's structure, not only infusing it with nutrients but also enhancing its aeration. This promotes improved water drainage and stimulates microbial activity within the soil, leading to its holistic improvement.
It's ideal for blending with soil and is easy to handle. The nitrogen content in mushroom compost is roughly 1.12%, in a form that's readily taken up by plants. Moreover, its pH is well-suited for most plants, and being a mature and stable organic compost, it's reliable for gardening needs.
