SL82 reinforcing mesh is a heavy duty square, welded steel reinforcing fabric supplied in a 5.8m x 2.4m sheet. Made to AS/NZS 4671 from 500 MPa steel, it reinforces concrete slabs, driveways, and footings, controlling cracking and carrying higher loads.
The bars are welded in a square 200mm x 200mm grid, providing strong reinforcement in both directions. SL82 is the heaviest gauge of the three common SL meshes here, making it well suited to heavier duty slabs, commercial floors, and structural applications where greater load capacity is required.
Also known as F82 mesh, it lays flat and sits on bar chairs to achieve the correct concrete cover. A dependable, standards compliant choice for demanding concreting projects.
